Cierra Watson has been working as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Rexburg Medical Clinic for the past two years. So far, she’s loved the experience.
“Everyone gets along really well,” she says. “We’re like a big family here. Everyone from the providers to the patients are treated the same: as equals, with respect, honesty, and support. Patients, even children, look forward to coming here because they know they will be cared for and listened to.”
Cierra says she loves how every day is different because of the wide variety of things that the providers at Rexburg Medical Clinic get to treat. People from all walks of life can come right in, even if they haven’t made advance appointments, and receive professional care.
“I got into healthcare to take care of people. I love how we help people both mentally and physically. I love it. We get along so well, we always have. We enjoy joking around.”
In spite of the fact that Cierra’s father is none other than Dr. Joseph Watson, one of the physicians at Rexburg Medical Clinic, she’s never received preferential treatment. This isn’t due to any particular effort to avoid favoritism; rather, it’s evidence that everyone who works there, related or not, is made to feel like family.
“We don’t have a lot of politics or drama.” Cierra says. “We want everyone to succeed. We gladly help each other out.”
