Physical Exams

A Physical Examination is a great opportunity to check in with your primary care doctor and to invest in yourself. Many insurances cover an Annual Physical or Wellness Physical completely, including the copay (contact your insurance for details). This preventative tool is an essential office visit to review and evaluate your overall health. During this visit, the doctor will discuss any health changes or concerns that you may have. There are several recommended screenings and/or testing that may take place with this visit depending on your age, gender, and medical history.

Some things to expect:

  • Performance of a Physical Examination (e.g. listening to heart and lungs, inspecting for unusual growths)
  • Scheduling a mammogram (Women over 40 years)
  • Lab draws (fasting for lipid and metabolic panels)
  • Scheduling a colonoscopy (50 years and older)
  • PAP smears (Women 21 and older)
