Prenatal Care

MMRMC Loves Babies!

History

Madison Memorial Rexburg Medical Clinic Providers have a long standing history of caring for pregnant women along with their newborns. For instance,  Dr. Jeffrey Zollinger has delivered hundreds of babies and provided them with healthcare through adulthood. Many of the babies Dr. Zollinger has delivered are now grown, as a matter of fact, Dr. Zollinger now delivers their babies! Our history spans several decades together with Madison Memorial Hospital.

Obstetrical Treatment

We provide routine Obstetrical visits throughout the pregnancy, as well as post-partum follow-up.

Madison Memorial Rexburg Medical Clinic has an OB Case Manager available to answer any questions about prenatal care, schedule of regular appointments, and payment plans for the insured as well as the uninsured. Also, we provide a packet of information to help you understand more about our OB care.

Our Medical Doctors (MDs),  provide care throughout the entire pregnancy and will deliver your baby. Our Providers receive special training such as Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). This training gives the Physicians the most up-to-date methods of treating you and your baby during and after delivery.

During your pregnancy you will have 3D Ultrasounds although the number depends on the preference of the Provider and your treatment plan. Delivery of your baby will be at Madison Memorial’s Family Maternity Center. This facility has the equipment and private rooms to make your delivery a wonderful experience for you and your entire family.  Because we  want you to remember these special moments, if desired, we can create a DVD as well as copies of the pictures taken of your baby.

After delivery, your Physician will assess your newborn. Besides, you and your newborn will receive special attention at this special time. The Physician will routinely check on you until you are both discharged from the hospital. If your baby is in need of more critical treatment, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at MMH will be immediately available, along with a Pediatrician specialist for consultation.
