Virtual Care at Rexburg Medical Clinic: Your Telehealth Options

virtual care

You have a telemedicine option.

The Idaho stay-at-home order initiated by Governor Brad Little has been helping to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Idaho. At Rexburg Medical Clinic, we’re committed to doing our part to help our patients and staff comply with that order as much as possible.

Did you know that you can visit your Rexburg Medical Clinic doctor or care provider without ever leaving your home? It’s called telemedicine, and it’s completely legitimate and fully effective. Virtual care offers all of the same protocols that normal visits have, including charting, assessment, and, when needed, the issuing of doctors’ orders and prescriptions.

What’s more, most insurance companies will waive the cost of your copay when you schedule a virtual visit, rather than an in-office appointment. Check with your own insurance provider to see if this is correct in your case as well.

Telehealth: How it works.

We will conduct your telehealth visit via Apple’s FaceTime platform, or via a Cisco WebEx teleconference, ensuring complete privacy and HIPAA compliance. Your provider will consult with you, face-to-face, providing any necessary assessments, prescriptions, and preliminary diagnoses, without any need for you to physically visit our facility.

To take advantage of this new opportunity, simply call Rexburg Medical Clinic at 208-356-5401. We will work with you to schedule your virtual care appointment, and we’ll help you set everything up.

Keep in mind that some appointments will still need to be in-person. The receptionists at Rexburg Medical Clinic can help you decide whether a remote visit is right for you.
